Overview
This policy establishes the general ethics and research integrity framework for UF-AALR conferences, scholarly events, and related academic activities. Organizers, authors, presenters, reviewers, speakers, participants, and partners are expected to uphold academic integrity, responsible research practices, and professional conduct.
Academic Integrity
Submitted and presented work must be original, accurately represented, and appropriately attributed. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, deceptive manipulation, and misrepresentation are not acceptable.
Research Ethics
Where research involves human participants, personal or sensitive data, biological materials, or animals, contributors are responsible for obtaining appropriate ethical approval, informed consent, permissions, and other institutional requirements where applicable.
Authorship, Funding & Conflicts of Interest
Authorship must reflect genuine scholarly contribution. Relevant funding, institutional support, and potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed where applicable.
Responsible AI Use
AI-assisted technologies may be used in accordance with applicable conference, institutional, and publication requirements. Contributors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, confidentiality, and integrity of their work. AI tools must not be listed as authors.
Professional Conduct
UF-AALR promotes inclusive, respectful, and professional academic exchange. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive conduct, or deliberate disruption is not acceptable at physical, virtual, or hybrid events.
Concerns & Compliance
Suspected misconduct or ethical concerns may be reviewed by the relevant UF-AALR or conference committee and, where appropriate, referred to the relevant institution, journal, publisher, or other responsible body. Concerns may be reported to contactuf.aalr@gmail.com.
