Overview
UF-AALR requires originality, academic integrity, and responsible use of artificial intelligence and digital tools across its conferences, scholarly events, presentations, and related academic activities.
Originality
Plagiarism, unattributed copying, fabricated content, manipulated evidence, and deliberate misrepresentation are prohibited. Authors are responsible for appropriate attribution, accurate referencing, and permissions for third-party materials.
Similarity Screening
Submissions may be subject to similarity or other research-integrity checks where appropriate. Similarity reports are used as assessment tools and do not, by themselves, constitute a final determination of plagiarism.
Responsible AI Use
AI-assisted technologies may be used for appropriate scholarly purposes, subject to applicable conference, institutional, and publication requirements. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and final content of their work. AI must not be used to fabricate or misrepresent references, data, quotations, evidence, findings, images, or research claims.
Disclosure & Authorship
Material use of generative AI should be disclosed where required by the relevant conference, institution, proceedings venue, journal, or publisher. AI tools cannot be listed or credited as authors.
Confidentiality
Authors, reviewers, and editors must not upload confidential, unpublished, sensitive, or personally identifiable information to external AI systems were doing so would violate confidentiality, consent, contractual, legal, or institutional requirements.
Action on Integrity Concerns
Where significant integrity concerns are identified, UF-AALR may request clarification or revision, reject or withdraw material from consideration, remove published content where appropriate, or refer the matter to the relevant institution, conference, journal, or publisher.
